What the Chlorine Does:
This system is designed to remove contaminants with the use of chlorine and contact time. It effectively removes iron, hydrogen sulfide, tannins, other organic matter, turbidity and most microbiological contamination.
How it Works:
The amount of chlorine injected, and the length of retention time required for specific contaminants varies from well to well. When the chlorine’s job is done, and the water is sanitary and free of contaminants, the chlorine is removed by using activated carbon before the water enters the house. This ensures that the harmful health effects of chlorine and the THMs that chlorine produces do not pose a health risk to our customers.
